Power Chatter—Part Three: Talk It Up
Yesterday, in Power Chatter—Part Two: Mundane, Not, I suggested replacing mundane chatter with talk about something that makes you feel good. Today, I’m going to raise the vibration on that a little further.
Better Than A Good Movie
For years, Tim and I have wanted to move to the southern Oregon coast and build an ocean view house on wooded acreage. We’ve designed the house, on paper, and we’ve made lists of floor coverings, windows, appliances, etc. We call it The Waggery.
When we first conceived of and designed this house, we were totally jazzed about it. Looking at our plans and making our lists was better than watching a good movie.
Over time, though, we let ourselves get all bogged down in “what is,” and we talked more about our current surroundings than the ones we want to be in.
When we stopped talking about the mundane stuff, we rediscovered this favorite topic of ours. And we added to it. Over the last few days, we’ve been talking about sitting in our hot tub, traveling in our RV, and playing tennis on our indoor tennis court. Tim’s been telling me about his golf games, and I’ve been telling him about my conversations with my enthusiastic editor.
In other words, we aren’t talking about what’s “real,” we’re talking about what’s REAL—the vibrational reality that our inner beings have already become.
I no longer ask Tim how his meeting went. I ask him what he shot on the back nine.
Our energy levels keep getting higher and higher.
And what’s coming of it?
For starters, I’ve picked up a new coaching client and an inquiry about my book-doctor services. I know more is coming.
And let me tell you about my new coaching client.
Let Me Tell You About …..
Savvi is writing a novel. She’s never written a novel before. But she doesn’t care about that, and she doesn’t talk about that.
She talks about her novel—what it’s about, how excited she is about it, what her vision is for it (she expects it to be made into a blockbuster movie, and I have no doubt it will be). She talks about her novel to anybody and everybody who will listen.
And her talk is lining her up with some great opportunities.
For starters, she decided she wanted to manifest people who could help her bring her vision into reality. One day, she was talking to her friend, Karen Money Williams, and she felt compelled to talk about her novel to Karen. Karen told Savvi about me. Savvi and I hooked up, and now I’m coaching Savvi and helping her get a query and opening pages ready for a conference at the end of the month.
After she manifested me (it was fun to be someone’s manifestation), she went on a vacation, and she met an attorney/writer and talked to him about her novel. Turns out he’s an intellectual property attorney who has all sorts of celebrity contacts, and he loves her idea and is encouraging her to do a screenplay.
Years ago, some well-meaning person advised me, “Never talk about your novel while you’re working on it. You’ll drain away your creative energy and people will criticize your idea, and you’ll get discouraged.” I took this to heart for a long time. I eventually started talking to some people about my novel ideas, but I didn’t tell everyone.
I love that Savvi tells anyone who will listen. She talks about her novel because it lights her up. She also talks about a beautiful glass pendant she created that she intends to hook to her novel/screenplay. All this talk raises her vibration, and her raised vibration puts her in the vortex, and being in the vortex connects her to the people she needs to meet to turn her vibrational reality into physical reality.
We’ve all got mouths, and we know how to use them. So let’s use them to launch ourselves into the vortex.
I’m using my mouth to talk myself up to a vibrational match with all I desire. I’m talking about The Waggery. I’m talking about my projects. I’m talking about MY LIFE—the one I’ve created vibrationally.
Are you talking yourself up? Do you tell everyone who will listen about all the great things you have in your vibrational escrow? (For you non-Abraham-Hicks readers, your vibrational escrow is the vibrational reality where all you desire has already come to be, and all you need to do to get what’s in your escrow is align with it.)
If you’re talking about the physical what is instead of the virtual what is, change your mouth channel. Talk it up. Tell the world about your incredible life.
And tell me. I really want to hear about what lights you up.

Inspiring!! I’ve manifested this connection and I know it’s going somewhere big. In a comment to a friend awhile back I said three words and the reply was “that’s a great title for a book” which rang my bell. In the meantime I am going to tell the world about my incredible life….Wonderful ….Thanks Ande.

I love it, Jan–”tell the world about my incredible life.” Perfect.

Oh, this is so cool. I’m realizing that there are so many neat ways to come into vibrational alignment with my desires, and talking it up is definitely one of them!
I’ve been saying for several weeks now, mostly to myself, that “My grass is cut.” I had to let the lawn service go because … well, you know … just had to let them go. So for several months now, the lawn around the house I rent has looked pretty tacky (wonderful to have the yard space that I do, given how small lots tend to be here). So Friday, I decided to ask my daughter to help me mow the lawn, something I’d been dreading doing myself (a lot of “dark side” talk here that I won’t bore you with). But finally, I just decided to go for it. I told her all I need is help getting the lawn mower started and I’d do the rest.
Well, this morning she comes strolling down to my house (she’s a block away – another blessing!) with her housemate (an accomplished sous-chef at a local restaurant – more blessings!) , and they proceed to get the mower out from beneath the house, clean out the old gasoline from the mower tank, get a gallon of new gasoline and fill the tank, and then cut the grass. Christopher, her house mate, did the actual mowing and my daughter raked up the grass clippings (not all – I asked her to leave some as fertilizer). I did some weeding, but really didn’t have a whole lot to do but watch and say, “Thank you!” over and over again.
For the last few mornings, I’ve also been affirming as part of my morning meditation that I am blessed, favored, loved unconditionally and supported on all levels of my Being. Each day I remember to say and feel this, something wonderful happens (remember the Mother’s day brunch?)
I also realized that there’s probably at least one thing I can do toward the fulfillment of my desires, not so much to try to make them happen, but as a demonstration of my faith that they will manifest since they already exist vibrationally. When I take that one step, the Universe takes 10 steps to make it happen. Life is good!
So here’s some talking up — one of the things I really want to do is someday publish the hubs I’ve written about the LOA in a book with a title something like, “Musings on the Law of Attraction.” I love writing those hubs, and I figure, what an easy way to write a book. I also want to create some unique designs for crocheted afghans. One idea is to somehow infuse healing energy into the design so that when you cover up in one, you receive this healing energy. Don’t know how I’m going to do this, but I know it’s already done vibrationally.

Great story, Patrice! And every “thank you” that you said to your daughter and your housemate was another rise in your vibrational level to bring more great things. And you’re right about the doing one thing. Abraham calls it taking action to raise vibration. Even though vibration is what makes action valuable, taking that one step to demonstrate faith can get the vibration going.

Day in, day out, the teachings of Abraham-Hicks light me up. I have such an incredibly joyful obsession with these teachings, and I just love sharing them in any quasi-normal or zany way I can.
A friend asked yesterday if it was discouraging when people don’t really seem to “get it.” I told him that it’s not discouraging at all, , for I don’t concern myself with the outcome; I just love the opportunity to share the stuff.
It’s fun to get updates on what is giving Savvi and others here so much excitement. I do actually have [a few] non-Abraham quotes hanging around here, and one of them is by Willa Cather: ” This is happiness; to be dissolved into something complete and great.”

Your perspective on sharing Abe teachings is great, Karen. For a long time, I didn’t talk about Abraham-Hicks or the law of attraction because I didn’t want my enthusiasm diminished by the naysayers (and I interact with two of those everyday (my parents)). But I finally decided to go for it because if they get to talk about their politics to me (which I care nothing about), why can’t I talk about what I’m excited about? And now that’s what I do. I talk only about things that I like and I enjoy the chance to talk about them.
That’s a lovely quote: “This is happiness; to be dissolved into something complete and great.” Perfect thought to start the week with.
